Adelaide I

and here I am back in the all so "fabulous" Melbourne fretting about the fact that I couldn't extend my stay in Adelaide.....

Who am I trying to kid anyway? I honestly miss my cousins as well as my uncle and aunty so much. I finally found a place in Australia where I can call home. The 17 days I spent there was probably some of the best days I've had in Australia. Despite spending 15 days working from 8am to 7pm, I thoroughly enjoyed myself with my 3 cousin sisters that never fail to perk me up as well as my uncle and aunty to take care of me.

left to right: me, Yu-Li (the 2nd), LiYen(youngest), Elaine(eldest)

I got along really well with my cousins although I only saw them once which was in erm.... std 6. So thats about 8 years ago and look how much they've grown.

Elaine, the eldest of the three is younger than me by one year and u cannot imagine how mature she is. I feel like a 15 year old kid next to her.

Yu-Li, the 2nd and my fav cousin :) is really pretty and smart and shopaholic. She likes to make fun of me and laugh whenever I make a blunder at the cafe. Naughty naughty girl !!!!

Liyen, the youngest is probably the most manja kid I've seen around. Her favourite quote is "I am better than you". And she likes to bully me btw. No idea how i got into that position anyway. hahaha.

Back to my enjoyable trip to Adelaide....

I gained 3 kg for pigging out too much at my uncle's cafe but they won't stop feeding me claiming I am a small eater... as if la...

The above are some of the food I ate at the cafe - Cornish, Ned Kelly pie, Chocolate cake, Quiche
I also tried the sausage roll, meat pie, coffee cake., custard tart, banana cake, scones, lamington, tuna pie, chicken pie. Not surprising as to why I put on 3kg

Most of u probably know that I am planning to work in Sem 2 to earn some extra pocket money and getting a job is not easy especially if u do not have any prior experience. To give me an added advantage in my job hunting quest which starts next week, my uncle patiently taught me how to make coffee and I've been practising everyday in Adelaide. Occasionally I have to make and serve cappuccino/ hot chocolate/ mocha to customers. Those of u who don't believe that I am working at the cafe and know how to make coffee, here are some pictures as evidence. Bleh !!! Camerawoman is none other than Yu-li

See how happy my uncle is with my progress? lol

I am quite well aware that my expression was quite grim the whole time. My uncle is quite picky when it comes to the quality of the coffee served to customers.

Follow ups on the next post...
